About Marlin Elementary

Marlin Elementary is a Prekindergarten through 6th grade campus serving approximately 480 students in the Marlin Independent School District. Our campus is dedicated to building a strong academic foundation through engaging instruction, high expectations, and a commitment to developing the whole child.

As the first step in a student's educational journey, Marlin Elementary provides a safe, supportive, and student-centered learning environment where children develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for continued success. We are committed to nurturing curiosity, fostering a love of learning, and preparing every student for a successful transition to Marlin Junior High.

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to our school community. My name is LaFredrick Smith, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Marlin Elementary. Whether you are a returning Bulldog family or joining us for the first time, I am thrilled to partner with you as we begin an exciting new school year.

At Marlin Elementary, we believe every child has unlimited potential, and it is our responsibility to provide a learning environment where students feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired to achieve their very best. Our dedicated staff is committed to delivering high-quality instruction while building meaningful relationships that help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
